Depersonalize Your Home to Sell

Posted by Nathan Schoell on September 11, 2015  /  in News  /  No Comments

This can be difficult for some people, but when sellers are preparing to sell a home this is too often overlooked. Do not hesitate to commit to selling your home. All you are really doing is pre packing your belongings. Your packing gets started and you make it that much easier to sell your home; this is a win win.

Let prospective buyers make their own connection to your home. There is a line between presenting a home as what it could be and presenting a home home filled with family photos, sports team memorabilia, or extravagant style. Present your home in the same manner you would expect a model home to be presented, or as close to that as you can achieve.  Do not remove all the furniture and decorations because this is what makes a home look like a home. You should definitely remove everything else that defines who you are.
